NTB Golf C’ship 2026; Three shotgun starts for the first time

Nations Trust Bank will host the latest edition of the Nations Trust Golf Championship 2026 at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC), as part of its ongoing partnership with the Club.

This year’s tournament will introduce three shotgun starts for the first time, with the annual championship continuing to serve as a platform bringing together customers, partners and golf enthusiasts through a shared sporting experience.

The championship tees off today (22) at 7 a.m. and will continue tomorrow (23), with shotgun starts scheduled for 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. respectively. More than 345 players are expected to compete across the three shotgun sessions. The prize-giving ceremony is scheduled to take place tomorrow from 7 p.m. onwards.

Participants will include customers from the Bank’s Private Banking, American Express Cardmembers, Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking segments, alongside invited golf enthusiasts.

Trophies and prizes will be awarded across several categories, including Men’s and Ladies’ Winners and Runners-Up, as well as Masters and Seniors divisions.

Special awards will also be presented for the Longest Drive at the eighth hole, Closest to the Pin at the 13th hole and the Overall Winner of the tournament.

In addition, a Hole-in-One prize of a Hublot Big Bang Unico Titanium 42mm watch valued at Rs. 8 million will be on offer, while the Overall Winner will receive an all-expenses-paid golf tour to the Maldives.

The tournament forms part of the Bank’s broader collaboration with the Royal Colombo Golf Club, with the championship scheduled to continue annually through 2028.
