Former MP Chandana Kathriarachchi has been arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division.

Police stated the arrest was made during a search at his residence under a warrant issued by the Kesbewa Magistrate’s Court.

Authorities recovered a hand grenade, T-56 magazines, and ammunition during the operation.

He has been taken into police custody for further action.
