The Department of Meteorology has issued a heat advisory for the Eastern, Northern, North-Western, and North-Central provinces, along with the Monaragala district.

Temperatures in these areas are expected to reach the ‘Caution Level’ of the heat index tomorrow, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.

The Met Department warned that prolonged outdoor activity could lead to fatigue or heat cramps.

Residents are urged to stay hydrated and avoid strenuous activity during peak heat hours.
