The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the appointment of B. A. T. Rodrigo as Director General of the Department of State Enterprises.

The post fell vacant following the retirement of P. A. S. Athula Kumara on 3 December.

Rodrigo, a special grade officer of the Sri Lanka Accountants Service, currently serves as an Additional Director General of the department. 

The appointment was approved on a proposal by the President in his capacity as Minister of Finance, Policy Planning and Economic Development.
