Water levels at the Kotmale Reservoir have fallen to 21.8% due to ongoing dry weather, the resident engineer stated.

Total water storage currently stands at 37,276 million cubic metres.

Water releases for power generation are being managed by the Water Control Secretariat.

Water levels at the Upper Kotmale Reservoir have also declined amid the dry conditions.
