Trading at the Colombo Stock Exchange ended on a positive note yesterday (18), with both main indices closing higher and the S&P SL20 reaching a historic milestone.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) gained 37.02 points to close at 23,919.84, while the S&P SL20 Index rose by 41.79 points to 6,750.50, marking the first time in history that S&P SL20 index reached the 6,750 level.

Today’s market turnover was reported at Rs. 5.66 billion. Domestic purchases were recorded at Rs. 5.55 billion and domestic sales at Rs. 5.37 billion. Foreign purchases were recorded at Rs. 109 million, compared with foreign sales of Rs. 292 million, resulting in a net foreign outflow for the day.
