President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for extending swift assistance to Sri Lanka following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

The United States has pledged $ 2 million for urgent relief efforts and deployed two C-130J Super Hercules aircraft to bolster ongoing humanitarian operations.

President Dissanayake said the rapid support underscores the strong partnership between the two nations, built on shared democratic values and longstanding ties between their peoples.
