Almost 387,964 domestic water supply connections damaged by recent landslides and flooding remain unrestored, the Office of the Commissioner-General of Essential Services stated.
Out of 2,947,833 connections nationwide, a significant proportion was disrupted during the disaster.
Kandy has the highest impact, with about 66% of connections still inactive.
In Kegalle, 75.09% remain unrestored, while 41.34% in Kurunegala and 52.82% in Puttalam are yet to be repaired.
Authorities stated restoration work is ongoing as teams continue to assess damage and restore supply across affected districts.
