Gujarat Governor Meets PM on Devnimori Sacred Relics Exposition

Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi met Prime Minister(PM) Harini Amarasuriya today(05) at the Parliamentary Complex.


The discussion focused on arrangements for the exposition of the Sacred Devnimori Sarvagna Relics of Lord Buddha.


The Sacred Relics have been brought to Sri Lanka under the patronage of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Government of India.


The Sarvagna Relics Veneration is being held from 5 to 11 February at the Gangaramaya Temple in Hunupitiya, Colombo.


President Anura Kumara Dissanayake offered a floral tribute on 4 February to mark the commencement, with Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya also participating.


Officials from the Indian Ministry of Culture, the Indian High Commission, and the International Buddhist Confederation attended, the Prime Minister’s Media Division noted.
