A pair of capybaras have arrived in Sri Lanka under an animal exchange scheme with the Czech Republic.
The capybaras will be housed at the Dehiwala Zoological Gardens.
Capybaras are a rare species of animal living in South Asian countries but not endemic to Sri Lanka.
A well-grown capybara is about four feet tall.
They are herbivorous animals with a life span of about six years.
