The Government has decided to lift restrictions on fuel and electricity use during Vesak Week, the Prime Minister’s Office said.

The decision was announced at a coordination meeting on the “Buddha Rashmi Vesak Zone” held at Temple Trees.

Officials discussed Vesak arrangements and energy management during the festival period.

The Vesak Zone is scheduled to operate daily from 7.00 p.m. to 12.30 a.m., according to organisers.
