Sri Lanka’s inflation, measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI), rose to 2.1% in October 2025, up from 1.5% in September, according to the Department of Census and Statistics.
The CCPI increased slightly to 193.8 points in October from 193.7 in the previous month.
Year-on-year inflation in the Food Group climbed to 3.5% from 2.9%, while the Non-Food Group rose to 1.4% from 0.7%.
Food items contributed 1.12% to overall inflation, and non-food items accounted for 0.95%, the DCS reported.
