Three senior officers of the Sri Lanka Army were officially promoted during a ceremonial event conducted in keeping with military tradition.

The new ranks were conferred by the Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General B.G.S. Fernando USP Hdmc psc.

The promoted officers are:

• Colonel K.D.N. Karunarathne USP

• Lieutenant Colonel H.M.C.C. Sooriyabandara USP

• Lieutenant Colonel I.W.S.G. Pathirana USP Lsc

The ceremony was held with full military decorum, recognising the officers’ dedication and distinguished service to the Sri Lanka Army and the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.

The event marked an important milestone in their professional careers and highlighted the Army’s continued commitment to rewarding excellence and service.
