The Cabinet has approved the procurement of 400,000 vials of Desferrioxamine Mesylate BP 500mg, used to treat excess iron in patients with hemochromatosis or thalassemia. 

The contract was awarded to M/s ABC Pharma Services (Pvt) Ltd following an international competitive bidding process.
