The Police constable accused of assaulting a lawyer at the Mount Lavinia Court premises has been transferred to the Piliyandala Police Station, effective today (14), Acting Police Media Spokesperson ASP Minura Senarath confirmed.

The constable, who was remanded over the incident, was released on bail yesterday (13) by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court. 

The altercation reportedly took place following an argument between the officer and the lawyer at the court premises last Friday.
