Watermelon sorbet
Dogs won’t scream for ice cream, yet they are interested in trying out an ice cream that their hooman always seems to enjoy. To make your furry companion’s dream come true, try out this two-ingredient watermelon sorbet recipe that your dog won’t be able to resist.
Ingredients
- 2-3 cups of frozen diced watermelon
- ¼ cup of yoghurt
- 1-3 tbsp of water
Wash the watermelon, get rid of the dirt, and dice a few cups of watermelon, removing the seeds. Place them in a freezer bag and let them freeze until solid for about four hours. Place a few cups of watermelon into a food processor bowl. Add ⅓ to ¼ cup of yoghurt to the blender and blend until combined. Keep blending until no chunks are left and until they combine well. If desired, garnish with fresh mint and serve it to your dog.
Dipped strawberries
The ultimate sweet yet healthy treat for dogs should be included in as many events and celebrations as possible. Replacing chocolate, which is not good for dogs, with carob chips, this sweet treat is something that your pet could enjoy while sharing some with you.
Ingredients
120g carob chips
1 tbsp of canola oil
Strawberries (stem discarded)
In a microwave, place carob chips and canola oil and heat until the carob chips are melted. Dip the strawberries in the melted carob and place them on a tray. Place in the refrigerator until the carob is hard and ready to eat. Yes, the treat looks too yummy to handle, and sometimes it’s okay to steal a little bite from your buddy’s treat.
