The Ministry of Education has announced that the 2025 GCE Advanced Level examination, suspended after widespread flooding and landslides triggered by Cyclone Ditwah, will resume on 12 January. 

Authorities say the revised schedule was set following assessments of affected districts and the restoration of examination centres.

The ministry has also confirmed that 9,926 schools will reopen on 16 December, with repairs and cleaning work nearing completion. 

Officials added that contingency measures are in place to support students in heavily impacted areas ahead of the exam restart.
