The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) says dengue mosquito larvae were detected in 50 of 189 government institutions inspected on the first day of the national dengue prevention programme.
A total of 31,196 premises were inspected, with 2,097 found to contain dengue larvae and 8,121 identified as potential breeding sites.
Authorities issued 1,165 notices and initiated legal action against 789 individuals.
The Health Ministry has urged the public to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and support ongoing dengue control efforts.
