The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has successfully taken control of both the Bingiriya and Pathahewaheta Pradeshiya Sabhas following local council elections.

In Bingiriya, SJB candidate Kamal Vishwanath was elected Chairman after securing a majority vote.

Similarly, in the Kandy District’s Pathahewaheta Pradeshiya Sabha, SJB candidate Rajanayaka was elected Chairman after winning the council’s support.
