MP Jagath Manuwarna was elected Chair of the newly formed Parliamentary Caucus on Arts and Cultural Affairs on 11 July.

His nomination was proposed by MP Ruwan Mapalagama and seconded by MP Sugath Wasantha de Silva.

Five MPs, including Mapalagama and three attorneys-at-law, were appointed Deputy Co-Chairs.

The next meeting is set for July 22.
