A former Management Services Officer of the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) over an alleged illegal vehicle registration.

CIABOC stated that the suspect allegedly assisted in registering and transferring ownership of a vehicle imported without Sri Lanka Customs clearance and payment of applicable duties.

The suspect is scheduled to be produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
