Police are investigating a grenade attack on a residence on Gnanendra Road, Ratmalana, after two hand grenades were reportedly thrown at the property early this morning (05).

One grenade exploded while the other landed in the garden without detonating. No injuries were reported, but two windows were damaged in the blast.

Police are investigating a possible link to organised crime and are working to determine the motive and identify those responsible.

No arrests have been made so far.
