The President’s Media Division (PMD) announced the appointment of 4 acting ministers as President Anura Kumara Dissanayake embarks on an official visit to Germany from 11 to 13 June.

Minister Vijitha Herath, who oversees Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, is accompanying the President on this diplomatic mission.

In his absence, Anil Jayantha Fernando has been named Acting Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, while Eranga Weeraratne assumes duties as Acting Minister of Digital Economy.

Aruna Jayasekara has been appointed Acting Minister of Defence, and Arun Hemachandra will serve as Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism during the visit.
