The Department of Meteorology has forecast showers or thundershowers at times in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces today (14).

Showers or thundershowers are also expected in several other areas after 1.00 p.m.

Rainfall exceeding 100 mm is possible in some areas of the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North Central and North Western provinces.

The public has been advised to take precautions against temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
