The final Randoli Perahera of the 2026 Kandy Esala Perahera Festival will parade through Kandy tonight (27), with police enforcing a special security and traffic plan.

The procession is scheduled to begin at 6.43 p.m. and cover around 2.15 kilometres before returning to the Sri Dalada Maligawa.

Special traffic arrangements will be in place across Kandy, with motorists advised to follow police instructions and use designated alternative routes.

The festival will conclude tomorrow (28) with the traditional Diya Kepeema, or water-cutting ceremony, and the daytime procession.
