Enter Air, a Polish airline, launched its weekly seasonal flights to Sri Lanka this morning(31), with two inaugural flights arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.
Two Boeing 737 aircraft carried a total of 378 passengers and 16 crew from Poland.
The first flight from Katowice was welcomed with a traditional water salute, followed by the second arrival from Warsaw.
The flights mark the beginning of the Northern Hemisphere's winter tourism season.
Enter Air is scheduled to operate flights from Katowice and Warsaw to Katunayake eight times a week.
