A discussion chaired by Deputy Defence Minister Aruna Jayasekara focused on expediting relief for military and police personnel who were disabled due to terrorist activities.

The meeting reviewed measures to identify eligible beneficiaries, appoint medical boards and streamline assessments linked to pending relief claims.

Officials also discussed decentralising medical board services to improve access for disabled veterans across the country and ensure benefits are provided without delay.
