Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya stated that Sri Lanka welcomes increased investments and tourist arrivals from India.

She made the remarks at a reception organised by the Sri Lanka India Society in Colombo onyesterday(26).

The Prime Minister noted that India supported Sri Lanka during Cyclone Ditwah through Operation Sagar Bandhu and announced a long-term relief package of USD 454 million.

She reaffirmed Sri Lanka’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, energy, connectivity and digital transformation.

Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha noted that bilateral relations continue to expand across multiple sectors.
