Sri Lanka recorded 1,567,007 tourist arrivals between 01 January and 06 September, 2026, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.

A total of 31,885 tourists arrived during the first six days of September.

India recorded the highest number of arrivals so far this year, with 395,377 visitors, followed by the UK with 152,625 and China with 102,473.
