The Sri Lanka Department of Posts and the Postal Agency of Pakistan have reached an agreement to issue two postal stamps celebrating the 75-year-long diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two postal institutions.
Accordingly, the stamps will feature historical Buddhist religious sites in both countries, with 5,000 stamps and 2,000 first-day covers to be exchanged.
The MoU is expected to be signed by the end of this month.
