Former Thomian cricketer turned golfer, Ken de Alwis won the Monthly Medal for April at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) which took place at their club course in the Hill Country recently. Ken ended a Nett score of 71 in the event which saw increased numbers of participants.

Ken, representing his Alma-mater S. Thomas College, Mount Lavinia, on the cricket pitch, showed his versatility by outperforming the competition on the golf course. His impressive round earned him the top spot, edging out the runner-up Vigneswaran Kandasamy, who carded a Nett 72.

Finishing in third place was Nadesan Krishnakumar who continued his good form in the recent past and Hill Country Course being his favourite securing third place with a Nett score of 75 in the event. 

Once again the event was organised and was headed by NEGC, Secretary, Brig (Retd.) Nanda Hathurusinghe who is doing yeoman service for the Hill Country club.
