A 32-year-old SLTB bus driver was killed and at least 22 others injured when a private bus collided head-on with an SLTB bus in Weliyaya, Monaragala, this morning (16).

The private bus was carrying passengers on a trip, while the SLTB bus was on the Dambagalla–Monaragala route.

The injured were admitted to Monaragala Hospital.
