The Ministry of Plantations and Community Infrastructure reports strong progress in the Quick Response (QR)-based tea fertiliser distribution system, launched on 1 October.
The new system addresses previous subsidy issues by determining the amount based on average tea leaf yield over three months, rather than just land extent.

As of 31 October, the ministry registered 67,056 applicants.
A total of 187.4 metric tons have been distributed to 49,548 farmers, achieving a progress rate of 49.33 per cent
