President Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that Sri Lanka will not face a repeat of the 2022 economic crisis despite current global economic pressures.
Speaking in Nintavur today (22), the President noted that the country’s foreign reserves have improved significantly compared to the 2022 period.
He also assured that shortages of fuel, gas, milk powder and fertiliser would not occur.
The President stated that the government is continuing efforts to stabilise the economy while addressing corruption and governance issues.
