The Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters’ Association has raised concerns over delays in the reconstruction of the Peradeniya Railway Bridge, warning the project may not be completed on time.
Chairman Sumedha Somaratne said work on the bridge, damaged after Cyclone Ditwah, has stalled despite a government deadline of 28 April.
He also alleged that the bridge has begun to tilt again, causing continued inconvenience to commuters travelling to Kandy.
