Sri Lanka's biggest names in real estate, banking, hospitality and jewellery unite behind the grandest gathering the gem industry has ever staged, Ceylon Gemlogue 2026.
Some of the most powerful names in Sri Lankan business have aligned behind a single vision. Home Lands, the country's leading real estate developer; Sampath Bank Private Banking; Colombo Jewellery Stores - Heritage Store; ITC Ratnadipa, SriLankan Airlines, Manjari and many other industry pioneers have joined hands to present Ceylon Gemlogue 2026, one of the grandest events the gem and jewellery industry has ever witnessed, taking place on 27 September 2026 at ITC Ratnadipa Colombo.
Presented by Ceylon Gem Chronicles and known as "the TED Talk of the gem world," Gemlogue is built around dialogue rather than trade, a stage where the world's leading gem minds, policymakers and industry leaders engage with one another openly. Following a sold-out inaugural edition in 2025, this year's programme expands into a four-day journey: an expedition across Sri Lanka's gem lands, the main conference, the VVIP dinner and a hands-on masterclass.
The centrepiece of the conference day is a Leadership Panel Discussion that brings Sri Lanka's decision-makers face to face with international expertise. Hon. Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Chathuranga Abeysinghe and the Chairman of the National Gem & Jewellery Authority (NGJA) Prof. S. P. Chaminda will take the stage alongside three visiting foreign experts to discuss the future direction of Sri Lanka's gem and jewellery industry from value addition and craftsmanship to sustainability, education and global positioning.
Headlining as keynote speaker is Victor Tuzlukov, a multiple Guinness World Record holder in gemstone cutting whose works are exhibited at the Smithsonian, the Louvre and the Vatican Museums. Tuzlukov will deliver a session on precision gem cutting and, for the first time in Sri Lanka, lead a hands-on workshop on 28 September.
He is joined by Katerina Perez, one of the world's leading voices in high jewellery with more than half a million followers, speaking on global luxury and branding; Peter Lyckberg, explorer, geologist on scientific mining and the future of gemstone exploration; Mansoor siblings who are materials scientists, on the future of gemmological education; and Justin K. Prim, master cutter and author, delivering a guest session.
Following the conference on the evening of 27 September, Colombo Jewellery Stores - Heritage Store together with Ceylon Gemlogue’26 will host the Gemlogue VVIP Dinner at AHASA, ITC Ratnadipa's sky-high restaurant overlooking the Indian Ocean.
The 2026 theme, "Crafted by Hand, Inspired by Heritage," draws a line between the generations of Sri Lankan gem cutters who learned to see brilliance hidden inside rough stone and the island's traditional mask-making artisans who sculpted legendary Raksha faces from imagination alone.
Endorsed by the Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Association (SLGJA), the Ceylon Gem & Jewellery Traders Association (CGJTA) and the Lanka Gem Dealers & Miners Association (LGDMA) - the Associations behind Sri Lanka's major international gem exhibitions, attendees will include stalwarts of the gem trade from Sri Lanka and abroad, renowned gemmologists, high-net-worth collectors and buyers, business leaders, Members of Parliament, and trade representatives with interests in the gem industry.
Ceylon Gemlogue 2026 marks the moment the island asks something different of its visitors: to stay, to listen, and to build the future of this industry together.
