Kankesanthurai Police received an anonymous call on 11 June, warning of possible attacks on around 10 police stations in the Northern Province.

The call was made between 1:15 p.m. and 1:20 p.m., prompting immediate investigations.

Police Media Division confirmed that security has been strengthened at all police stations in the region as a precaution.
