The Department of Meteorology has forecast showers or thundershowers at times in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces, as well as Batticaloa and Ampara districts tomorrow (15).

Heavy rainfall exceeding 100 mm is possible in some areas, while showers or thundershowers are expected in other parts of the island after 1.00 p.m.

The public has been advised to take precautions against temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
