Rainy weather is expected to continue in several parts of Sri Lanka tomorrow (21), with rainfall exceeding 100 mm possible in some areas, according to the Department of Meteorology.
A low-pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal, northeast of Sri Lanka, near the Andaman region.
Although it is not expected to directly affect Sri Lanka, its influence on wind patterns is expected to maintain rainy conditions, particularly in the southwest.
Heavy rain is possible in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North Western provinces, and Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya.
