Richmond College clinched the 35th Lover’s Quarrel annual limited overs encounter beating traditional rivals Mahinda College by 38 runs (DLS) at the Galle International Stadium recently. Batting first the Richmondites posted a decent score of 238 for the loss of 9 wickets. Chehan Subasinghe top scored with 54 along with Nikil Jayaweera’s 50. A. Udayanda took 4 wickets for Mahinda. In their chase, the Mahinidians were bowled out for 181 with Yuri Koththigoda’s brilliant bowling spell of 5/14. Skipper Malsha Tharupathi took 3/41. Tharusha Dilshan scored a solo 66 runs to add pride for the Mahinda outfit.
