Sri Lanka has recorded 69,951 dengue cases so far this year, with 1,279 new infections reported on 13 July, according to the National Dengue Control Unit.

The Western Province remains the worst-affected region, while Gampaha District has reported the highest number of cases, followed by Colombo.

A total of 14,572 dengue cases have been reported during the first 13 days of July, with June recording the highest monthly total so far this year at 21,538 cases.
