Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, his wife Kusum Priyadarshini Epa, and a daughter were released on bail today (19) after fulfilling the conditions set by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
They were initially remanded due to delays in meeting bail requirements following their arrest by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali had ordered their release on Rs. 50,000 cash bail each and 3 sureties of Rs. 5 million each, while also imposing a travel ban on the trio.
