A tusker that lived at the Bellanwila Temple and was around 76 years old, ‘Manika’, passed away yesterday afternoon (6).

The tusker had participated in the annual procession of the historic Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya for many years, becoming a figure in the temple’s traditions.
