Ruwan Ranasinghe says Sri Lanka has welcomed nearly 1.2mn tourist arrivals so far in 2026.

Speaking in Colombo, he said the tourism sector has generated more than $1.5bn in foreign exchange earnings.

The State Minister said Sri Lanka remains on track to achieve its target of attracting 2.5mn tourists this year.
