A disciplinary investigation has been initiated against Dr. Rukshan Bellana, Deputy Director of the National Hospital Colombo.

The probe was launched after he made public statements to the media regarding the health condition of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

According to the Deputy Minister of Health, officials are not permitted to disclose a patient's sensitive medical information without proper authorization, especially in the case of high-profile individuals.
