Showers or thundershowers are expected at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North Western provinces, and Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.

Rainfall of around 100 mm is possible in some areas, according to the Department of Meteorology.

Several spells of showers may occur in the North Central Province and Mannar, while showers or thundershowers are expected in Uva, Batticaloa and Ampara after 2 p.m.

Fairly strong winds of 30–40 kmph are also possible in several areas. The public has been advised to take precautions against strong winds and lightning.
