Mahishini Colonne officially assumed duties as Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India after presenting her credentials to Indian President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (29).

Her appointment was confirmed earlier by Sri Lanka’s Constitutional Council.

Colonne brings diplomatic experience to the role, having previously served as Deputy High Commissioner to India from 2011 to 2014.
