Multi Finance PLC has officially been delisted from the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) effective yesterday (4).

This move comes in accordance with Rule 4 (2) of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) Rules, 2001, as issued via Gazette Extraordinary No. 1215/2 dated 18 December, 2001.

The delisting follows the successful amalgamation of Multi Finance PLC with L B Finance PLC, a process that was completed in early August, 2024. This strategic amalgamation was approved by a special resolution passed at an extraordinary general meeting held on 28 June.

The amalgamation has been executed in strict adherence to the provisions of the Companies Act No. 07 of 2007, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

The Department of Registrar General of Companies (DRGOC) has validated the amalgamation process, issuing a ‘Certificate of Amalgamation Issued to a Limited Company’ that confirms the legal and procedural integrity of the merger.

This certification marks the official completion of the amalgamation, enabling the newly formed entity to move forward with an enhanced financial base and improved operational capabilities.
