Sri Lanka’s Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath met with Winston Peters, Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand, in Wellington this afternoon(27).

In a post on X, Herath stated that the two sides held constructive discussions on bilateral matters including politics, trade, sports, governance and the Sri Lankan community in New Zealand.

The Ministers also exchanged views on current regional and global developments and their impact.

Minister Herath is currently on an official visit to New Zealand and Australia from May 26 to June 3 at the invitation of the two governments.
