The Court of Appeal has announced that its decision on a writ petition filed by MP Dilith Jayaweera will be delivered on 30 September.

Jayaweera is seeking an order to invalidate a complaint filed against him before the Fort Magistrate’s Court alleging contempt of court.

The petition was considered today (18) before a three-judge bench headed by Court of Appeal President Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya.
